This is an ideal thing to do when you are in Hilton Head! We caught 15 keeper blue crabs in just under an hour and a half and Hudson‘s seafood cooked them for free! This definitely falls in the category of things we will do again and again over the years when we visit help that it’s just too much fun (and those crabs are too tasty!)

We did the Dolphin excursion twice this spring and loved it. We saw 4-5 dolphins both trips, and up close too, so much so you could almost touch them. And the captains share some of the history and nature of the river. Inexpensive, the captains are locals, and very accessible at the end of Calhoun St. in Old Town Bluffton.

Four of us took a tour of the May River from Bluffton towards the ocean. Our Captain, Steve, is the best - lots of local stories and history of the area. We will return to see the dolphins and local beauty when later spring arrives. Still a fun experience in early March. Loved his two dog companions.

Fun 90 minute family crabbing adventure. Captain Chris kept us busy the whole time. Even able to get in some shrimping and fishing. Cool weather so crabs were caught in traps. Brought home a dozen and cooked 'em up for dinner. Teens had a great time interacting. Really beautiful out there and even saw a bald eagle.

Captain Chris was fabulous. Very educational and you get a better sense of the May River's path and the islands. We went early morning at high tide so we were able to go over the sandbar and over tidal marshes and oyster beds. Saw about six dolphins, one jumping, pelicans, egrets and more. Smooth sailing and the two golden retrievers were fabulous companions. Can't recommend it any higher. A must do!
